TASKS
In this section, in the left menu one can find the tasks for training different skills and manipulations in endosurgery. Tasks are also grouped by categories (imaging, endoscopic suture, etc.) and courses (FLS, BESTA, etc.).
Laparoscope Navigation
The "Laparoscope Navigation" Task is the first one in the program BESTA. It is dedicated to the practicing of the oblique scope navigation skills.
Peg transfer
The "Peg Transfer" Task is similar to the Task 1 of the FLS course (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery)*. Need to transfer back and forth 6 prisms with both instruments alternately.
Objects Transfer
The "Peg Transfer" Task is similar to the Task 1 of the FLS course (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery)*. Need to transfer back and forth 6 prisms with both instruments alternately.
Bimanual coordination
Bimanual coordination is an original task of the program BESTA. All caps should be removed with the grasper and by rotation of the oblique scope all hidden numbers have to be recognized
Circle Cutting
The "Circle Cutting" is the task Nr. 4 of the BESTA program (Basic Endosurgical Simulation Training and Accreditation). Trainee needs to cut out a circle between to marked lines.
Clip and Cut
Task is dedicated to the training the proper and safe technique of applying laparoscopic clips and presice cutting structures between them.
Needle Driving
The task Needle Driving (Needle Guidance) is dedicated for the training of ambidexterity, needle-holder manipulation, proper needle positioning in the jaws of needle-holder and visual-spatial coordination.
Extracorporeal Suture
The task "Extracorporeal Suture". Three single throws of a knot are tied extracorporeally. Using a knot pusher trainee secures each throw onto the drain.
Ligating Loop
The task “Endoloop” is a part of FLS Course (Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery).
Intracorporeal Suture
A 12 cm long suture is passed through two markings on a Penrose drain, and three throws are tied in an intracorporeal fashion. Errors: inaccuracy of needle cuts, improper tying technique, knot insecurity, model avulsion.
Purse String Suture
A 15 cm long suture is passed through six markings on a Penrose drain, and three throws are tied in an intracorporeal fashion forming purse string suture. Errors: inaccuracy of needle cuts, improper tying technique, knot insecurity, model avulsion.
